- Bio: Born and educated in Singapore, I moved to London to complete my undergraduate degree in Geography. Having studied in a variety of countries and under different educational systems has made me realized the importance of studying issues from a comparative, interdisciplinary perspective. I hope to learn more about how countries balance between the various understandings of what is the purpose of education, governance and funding models, and how higher education sectors have responded to current socioeconomic/political trends, such as growing income inequality, the on-going transition to a high-tech/post-industrial/knowledge-based in some countries etc. I am also greatly interested in issues relating to gender, immigration, urbanization and the environment.
