  1. Charlemagne at court:

Charlemagne tells the assembled knights about Angelica’s disruption of the court; Orlando has disappeared in search of Angelica; a messenger informs Charlemagne that Rodomonte is besieging Paris; Charlemagne appoints Rinaldo in charge of the city’s defenses in Orlando’s absence.

 

2. Rinaldo fights Rodomonte outside the walls of Paris:

 

3. Orlando seeks Angelica and battles a serpent:

 

4. Orlando saves Angelica from a giant and then battles Rinaldo:

 

5. Malagigi summons a demon who informs him of the duel between Orlando and Rinaldo:

 

6. Conclusion:
