A new study prepared by the American Institutes for Research (AIR) for the U.S. Department of Education presents an analysis of relevant research and data related to dual language education policies and practices. Dual language education programs are a type of bilingual education program designed to teach students content in both English and a partner language. Please visit the AIR website to learn about the findings of Dual Language Education Programs: Current State Policies and Practices, including a 5-minute video (below) to explain the concept of dual language programs.
