Intelligence Quotient (IQ) is a score derived from a standardized test that is designed to measure intelligence. The mean IQ is 100 with 1 standard deviation extending 15 points to either side of the mean. It should be noted that IQ tests are highly dependent on previous experience and socioeconomic status.
