This is the first of four classes on cleft palate speech therapy. It includes a description of typical anatomy versus what cleft palate is and what it looks like. Typical speech acquisition is compared to speech affected by cleft palate. The embriological development of cleft palate is presented. Finally we can see how to identify an individiual with a submucous cleft.
