Consultations for Graduate Students

The CTL meets with graduate students and postdocs seeking consultation at all points in their teaching career. This includes consultations on teaching statements, professional development, preparing for the job market, teaching online, and general teaching-related support. In Summer 2020 consultations are being offered on Zoom.

We can best accommodate your request if we are given at least one week notice. Your request will be processed within 48 hours. Once we schedule a meeting with you, please submit your materials for review at least 24 hours in advance, if applicable.

Due to high demand for individual consultations, priority will be given to graduate students attending CTL programming related to the area of their inquiry and who are first-time users of our services. We must limit graduate students to no more than two consultations per topic in a given semester.

Graduate student instructors can also receive immediate support for Canvas and other educational technology related matters during Learning Designer walk-in consultation hours.
