Andrew is a Learning Designer at the CTL.

Previously, Andrew was a researcher, studio manager, and renovator of the Thingspace at Teachers College, creating a safe and stimulating learning environment for artistic expression, digital fabrication, and makerspace techniques. He helped run multiple workshops on fusing new media technology with educational goals for high school and adult learners. Prior to Teachers College, Andrew helped develop over a dozen graduate-level MOOCs in the healthcare and medical field. He has also worked in higher education administration, standardized test teaching, and on game development projects.

Andrew received his BA in Interactive Entertainment from the University of Southern California, and his MA in Instructional Technologies from San Francisco State University. He is currently working towards his Ed.D. at Teachers College in Art and Art Education, focusing on the relationship among art education, games for change, and imagining new futures.

In his spare time, Andrew volunteers for the World Futures Studies Federation, assisting with art direction and web management. Andrew enjoys experimenting with a variety of artistic media, creating music, eating great food, and exploring the world.
